Northern Field Organizer
Job Purpose:
The New Mexico Dream Team is seeking a Northern Field Organizer that will work as part of a team that will lead the organization’s chapter building in the Santa Fe, NM area.
Reports to: NMDT Field Manager
Salary: Based upon experience with a cap of $32,500 plus benefits
Overview: NMDT’s Northern Field Organizer will conduct rigorous base building and transformational leadership development of chapter-based members in schools throughout the region.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct and track rigorous and disciplined base building outreach
- Conduct and track transformational leadership development in order to move members through the NMDT leadership ladder
- Maintain a solid base in each chapter of 10 members.
- Support development and maintenance of chapter organizing plans
- Support and coach chapter leads on NMDT northern Field activities.
- Support and coach chapter leads to conduct and track rigorous and disciplined base building outreach
- Support and coach chapter leads to conduct and track leadership development in order to move members through the chapter leadership ladder
- Lead NMDT North Field activities with staff and membership such as graduation, posadas, and general meetings
- Develop, update and implement NMDT northern field base-building strategy in line with organizational priorities
Preferred qualifications:
- Grassroots organizing background
- Maintains professionalism aligned with the values of anti-racism and anti oppression
- Passionate about the rights of immigrants and deeply committed to justice for all people
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Exceptional relationship-building skills
